This was my first Apple product and it won't be my last. A great product and easy to use. The touch screen is a little sensitive but I'm getting the hang of it. Have already loaded my entire music library-over 425 cd's - and still plenty of room for more!

I bought this for my son as a gift. His ipod nano didn't have enough memory for his video uses.
The classic is a great design.

This version of the iPod does exactly what you expect from the iPod Classic. Tons of storage space with a smooth and easy to figure out user interface. It's exactly what I needed in a very slim compact package.

Dependable product

I'm not sure how Apple continues to get more and more memory into the same size box, but it's nice. This is my 6th iPod, and it remains dependable and sturdy. Since I use the iPod only for music, I couldn't comment on its video capabilities, though I suppose it to be quite odd to be fixated on a small screen to be watching movies. This product has held up in the most adverse climates of subSaharan desert and icy reaches of mountain climbing. It survives drops and falls without problems. It rarely needs to be reset. When problems have happened on other iPods, AppleCare has been wonderful at simply replacing the whole unit without question.

When you need more than iTouch

The iTouch is a really cool device, but it does not hold enough for me. When I filled my 3rd gen. 40Gb iPod, I wanted to upgrade to something I could use for another 5 years. Right now I have over 60Gb on my unit, I am adding over 1.2Gb per month of new music, this is over 100 tracks per month. I probably only have 1/4 of my CD collection on the iPod. I really got into having cover art for all of my tracks. (mostly full albums) although cover flow is too slow to use, the disk can not update quick enough. And I do my own play lists, so I do not use the Genius playlist feature. I love the battery life, it seems to be pretty close to 30 hours. BTW: everything is ripped at 192 or higher.
