There are few things more aggravating than having to leave what you're doing to cross a room to answer an unsolicited phone call, only to find out it's another nuisance call. The brightly lit high contrast, tiltable LCD panel makes those extra useless steps a thing of the past. The large, well lit letters/numbers make it possible to see who is calling and decide whether or not to answer without leaving the 'comfort of wherever you are.' The features make it one of those instruments that have more features than one could ever want or need to use; but they are there should you want to go beyond having just a good phone and to play with and learn the use of the bells and whistles. Concerns about interference were overrated as they are nonexistent in our situation (right next to a computer/router setup), and voice quality is as good or better than most of the phones I've used. One shortcoming might be that light on the option keys (e.g. menu, cid, dir,etc) keys on the base would make the unit perfect. Sticky rubber feet make it difficult to pull the handset off a desk when the handset cord is pulled just that little too hard. The portable handset is conveniently sized - not too big/small - easy to keep track of, and has excellent quality sound: it tucks away in any free corner. All in all a good choice for most situations.
