Apple 27" LED Thunderbolt Cinema Display

More than just a stunning 27" high-resolution LED-backlit display, the Apple Thunderbolt Display is the ultimate docking station for Mac notebooks. It lets you move data between your Thunderbolt-enabled Mac and compatible devices with lightning speed. A Thunderbolt port, a FireWire 800 port, three USB 2.0 ports, and a Gigabit Ethernet port make it a plug-and-play hub for everything you do. The Thunderbolt port alone lets you connect as many as six devices. You’ve never seen a display quite like this.

The amount of screen space on this monitor is amazing. Great for working on large Excel files or designing the layout of brochures. If you need more screen space then the standard 1080p, this is THE choice.

not tax for CA. Display works great. I wish if it has connection to hookup with PC as well.

Purchased this product only recently for use with both my Macbook Airs, in different sizes. Figured the thunderbolt option would decrease the amount of cables i would have to plug/unplug from the Air. Was skeptical on buying at first since no reviews were listed on the product, as of yet due to its recent availability. Please note that the thunderbolt port is NOT backwards compatible with the mini display port on older macs without a thunderbolt. I know this from trying. Setup was a snap. A built-in power cable to charge your Air or any other portable mac and the thunderbolt for everything else including ethernet. It's great! 2 cables and that's it. Neat and simple to disconnect and reconnect. Just tap the keyboard, mouse, or trackpad and the display image comes up. Even my Bose system works with the display. Can't think of anything bad to say. Great invention and worth the price. Highly recommended!

The quality of my Thunderbolt Display is superb, as I expected when I ordered it. It is the perfect companion for my mid-2011 MacBook Air ("MBA" for short). Now I rarely need to magnify images to see the small print.... I prefer to use this display in a dimly lit room so that I'm not distracted by the mirror effect of the glass. Because my MBA has a backlit keyboard, a darkened room is no problem for me.... Coming from the back of the display are two cables inside a single cable cover. One of these cables connects to the MagSafe port of my MBA; the other cable connects to the Thunderbolt port. There is no need for another connection between the display and the MBA. If I want to use an external keyboard, instead of using the keyboard of my MBA, I would connect it to the back of the Thunderbolt Display.
