Even though this is a factory refer, it is as good as a new one. There is no difference between this one (my wife's) and the new one that I got for Cristmas. I will be purchasing from PC Express in the future.

I do not like writing reviews on electronics, because the cycle life is so short, and a newer more powerful, feature rich item will be on the market before the ink is dry.
For this Tablet I will posit a positive review because of its porting options, HDMI, USB, MiniSd, etc. Newer models do not have this wide array of options, which make this Tablet a very good buy, now and later as the cycle turns.

My reconditioned Acer 500 ia all I expected and couldn,t tell it from new. Had 1 minor issue, sent it back, second one is great. Customer service was excellent!

I bought the refurb version and I am happy with the purchase so far. It doesn't come with a printed manual and it is a bit more bulky to hold than I anticipated. This can

I got 3 of these refurnished units, and 2 out of the 3 have completely non functional GPS, not slow lock they just don't see any satellites. The refurb company Seneca says the refurbished uinits DO NOT have gps other than wifi and refuse to do anything about the issue. Exact quote: " Dear Customer, The GPS only works while connected to a wireless network. This is not a defect. It will only connect to a wireless network. Thank you"
Everything else about tablet is fine, so if you don't care about true gps go ahead and get one, they rock.

Love this tablet, Has everything you would want. Very very cool. I had been looking for a tablet and did alot of research. Thought I would have to wait a few months to save up some cash, found this refurbished deal and it cannot be beat. Screen very bright, Sound is good, runs fast. A little heavier than some of the others I tested in store but not a big deal. Cannot go wrong with the purchase of this Acer.

I love this tablet. Android honeycomb 3.0 updated to latest version 3.2 no problem. Quick, good battery life, big screen, all the Google apps, no high priced Apple stuff without big brother deciding what you can download. Glad I didn't get an IPad.

I love this particular tablet that does everything. I have some issues where when I go into games now the lights are flashing up and down that is worrisome. It is refurbished and I wonder if that is what the previous issue was. But overall this tablet is da bomb. Great to get online, email, surf the web, or just play games. And its small enough to carry thru the airport without having a extra carry on.

My wife decided to surprise me with a tablet for Christmas but wanted me to pick one out. After some research I decided on the Iconia A500 from Acer. I made the right choice. First off, the performance is fantastic. The screen is brilliant but does have a bit of glare. No big deal though. The unit itself is a tad heavy but that's not a real issue for me either. I also love the fact that Acer didn't do much customization to this thing so you get a mostly pure Honeycomb experience. Acer has also stated that they plan on upgrading this tablet to Ice Cream Sandwich sometime in January.
I dig this tablet so much that I may pick up another for my wife.
I did also want to point out that this is the first time I've purchased anything from MacConnection. Their customer service has been top notch and I will totally buy from them in the future.
If you're in the market for an Android tablet, this may be the one for you.

Love it so far, no problems or complaints!! It feels solid and has a ton of features. I enjoy watching Netflix and epix on my HD TV with the HDMI cable-pretty sweet with great audio and video output. I have had all the upgrades offered one after the other added with no glitches, ice cream sandwich is being offered next week!!

Very pleased with my refurbished Acer tablet. I fell like I got a great deal on a great tablet. It could be a little lighter (get's heavy after a holding it for a while) but overall, the performance and quality is what i expected. i have no qualms recommending a refurbished model, especially if it saves me a C-note over new.
