Tripp Lite 7-Port USB 2.0 Self- or Bus-Powered Mini Hub
TrippLite's ultra small 7-port USB 2.0 hub is the most versatile and powerful hub on the market. This USB 2.0 certified hub allows you to connect up to seven USB devices to a single USB port on a notebook, PC or Mac - it's perfect for both the mobile and desktop user. No external power, software, or complicated set-up procedures are required.
While the hub will function perfectly in virtually all cases without needing external power, a compact, multi-voltage AC adapter (110/220V) has been provided for the rare circumstance when connecting a power hungry device. This USB 2.0 device is backwards compatible so that it will function with both USB 2.0 devices as well as USB 1.1 peripherals.
Since this hub is Plug-and-Play and hot-swappable, you can add or remove a device at any time, whether your system is powered on or powered off. Over-current protection per port safeguards connected equipment from overvoltages. An included stand enables upright positioning.

Cons: unstable
Configuration, ease of use and compactness are all good. As some other reviews have mentioned, it would be even better with a heavier base; it tips over very easily when fully 'plugged in'. I may epoxy some lead shot into the base.

Finally I have enough USB ports on a USB hub. I've got five devices plugged into at the moment and am getting enough power so that's great. My only complaint is that the stand needs to be heavier. With four cables plugged into the back, plus the power cable, it's a little offbalance. I had to run a cable from my Firewire hub under the back, plus switch one of the devices so it's plugged into the front, to keep it from tilting back and sliding off the desk. I'll probably have to tape a coin or something under the front part to keep this steady.

Exactly what I needed. Looked for a long time for a hub with most of the ports on the rear and a couple on the front for flash drives, and this fit the bill. No hassle installation, and it works fine!

Pros: item works
Received the item in a sealed package however it appeared that the usb cable had caught on fire and melted together and there were burn marks on the cardboard. I didn't contact customer service due to a time constraint I just used a different usb cable I had. But thought that was interesting.
